Meeting Wednesday 21 with Parish Clerk, RFO and Chair to discuss next steps. Summary outputs presented to meeting.
- No longer an Extra Ordinary meeting. Held as agenda item for September 16th Full Council meeting.
- Host in usual venue, not using expanded capacity of St Andrew’s Centre.
- A ‘reset’ of position for councilors new in this term – since David Jenkin’s report.
- Remind council of report brought to previous term.
- Question land use categorisation.
- Question renaming ‘Skate Park’ fund.
- Reconfirm commitment to a pump track.
- HI Pump Track Charity report/presentation shows motivation for looking into shorter delivery locations first.
- HIPT Charity recommendation to investigate highlighted locations within parish council’s assets.
- HI Parish Council wishes to do its own due diligence as land owner.
- Proposal for HIPC to commission feasibility, design work and visulisations leading into a parish run public consultation.
- Consultation format to be decided at a later date; ideas discussed letter drops, Hub articles, drop-in sessions.
- Parish Clerk to draft new motions and covering paper.
- HIPT Charity report and Council feedback documents as attached papers.
- HIPT Charity to have sight of draft motions before meeting called.
Access issues with bank account remain. Action on Edd and Colin.
PrintOut invoice still unpaid. Action remains on Edd to speak with PrintOut and make payment.
Action remains on Edd to check/chase CCVS for template policy ahead of AGM
Tom discussed visualisations work with Dan. Dan said previous ask had not been productive, companies wanting to do design work to base visuals on. Had ideas for other local people to approach for artwork. Tom to follow up with artists.
Preparation for Full Council meeting
Discussed revisions to presentation following EO next steps with Parish Council.
- Structure of presentation is good. As goal remains to take audience through consultation process, results and conclusion.
- Tom and Colin to check wording does not conflict with revised motions
- Add slide for responses from other parishes received since initial draft.
- Possibly on rolling loop with images during Q&A
- Add slide on recreation ground’s current uses. Tom to share map with Colin
- Discussed additional slides to cover main complaints. Likely too much as 5 minute restriction will be back as not EO meeting. Squashing concerns early vs placing concerns in peoples mind.
Date of next meeting
Wednesday 4th September
