Thank You for Visiting Us at the Feast Market
A big thank you to everyone who came to speak with us at the Feast Market on Sunday. Although the wind certainly made things challenging at times, we were delighted to have so many positive, thoughtful, and engaging conversations with members of our community.
It was encouraging to hear how much interest there continues to be in bringing a pump track to our villages. We also heard honest feedback from many people who are frustrated by the slow progress of the project. We understand that frustration and share the desire to see momentum build.

One of the most important ways local people can help move the project forward is by getting involved.
Our organising group is looking for more volunteers to help deliver this exciting community facility. The pump track is intended to be a free-to-use space with no booking required, providing an accessible recreational resource for people of all ages and abilities across our villages.
Volunteering does not need to be a major commitment. You can contribute as much or as little time as you feel able to offer. Every contribution makes a difference.
We meet face-to-face once a month to plan and coordinate our work. Meetings take place at 7:30pm on the fourth Monday of each month at the Rose & Crown. Between meetings, we also use a dedicated online chat group to stay in touch and discuss anything that arises.
We are particularly keen to hear from people who may be interested in becoming charity trustees.
Trustees play a vital role in helping guide the charity’s direction, governance, and decision-making. As a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), the charity has its own legal identity, which means trustees do not carry personal liability for the charity’s financial or legal obligations. Trustees are also provided with a dedicated charity email address so that charity communications remain separate from personal or professional correspondence.
Most importantly, we need more voices supporting this project.
Advocacy with local authorities is strengthened when more members of the community actively participate. If you have felt frustrated by the pace of progress, joining us is one of the most effective ways to help create change.
This project belongs to the community, and its success depends on community support.
